Injectable filler gel adds volume to the skin, plumping it out and giving the appearance of a smoother surface. Fillers are smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. This treatment is generally used on the lower face for lines around the nose and mouth and lines around the lips (often called ‘smoker’s lines’). It can also be used to improve the appearance of scars or dents on the face.

Dermal filler is a naturally occurring hyaluronic acid gel that is injected into the face to smooth wrinkles and folds (especially around the nose and mouth). It is also used to plump out scars or dents in the face and to define and enhance lips.
Please note Dr Peyman does not provide any upper-face dermal fillers. This includes the forehead, temples, tear trough ( under eyes for sunken eyes) or reshaping of the nose. This should not be taken to mean these treatments should be avoided, but we urge you to ensure these areas are treated by an experienced, appropriately medically qualified practitioner to minimise the risks involved.

Dr Peyman will inject small quantities of filler into the areas where you have lines/wrinkles or indents. The dermal filler comes with a local anaesthetic, which makes the process relatively painless. It should take approximately 30 minutes, and the effects are instant.*
A topical anaesthetic cream is often used prior to treatment also to make the treatment even more comfortable.

Yes, as long as they are administered by a medical professional. The hyaluronic gel is completely natural, and over time, the filler will slowly dissolve, causing no harm to you.
Most side effects are mild and temporary, e.g. redness, pain, swelling.
You should not have fillers if you have severe allergies, are pregnant or breastfeeding. Also, some medications could make the treatment unsuitable for you.
