Anti-wrinkle injections are commonly referred to as ‘Botox’, short for Botulinum toxin. This is a naturally occurring protein that causes the muscles of the face to relax, consequently smoothing out wrinkles. It is the UK’s most popular cosmetic treatment for the removal of wrinkles.
It’s important to remember that when you’re considering getting temporary wrinkle treatment, you must make sure a qualified, regulated and registered healthcare professional with good medical and anatomy knowledge will carry out your procedure.

If you know you want to get “Botox” but aren’t sure which areas to focus on, Dr Peyman is able to advise you on how to get the results you’re looking for.
Areas commonly treated are:
A true brow lift, also called a forehead lift, is a surgical procedure that involves physically lifting the muscles and subcutaneous tissue, raising the brow area in the process. A Botox brow lift achieves a similar effect — without the use of invasive surgery.
A Botox brow lift is a procedure in which you give a temporary lift to the eyebrows through the strategic use of a neurotoxin. By using the injectable to relax the muscles that drag the brows down, the upward-pulling muscle of the forehead can do its thing unchecked. This will cause a physical lift of the brows for as long as the toxin remains active, usually around three months.
This Treatment is suitable for most people to varying degrees. However, how much of a lift can be achieved depends on the age, skin, face structure and anatomy of each individual. Botox brow lifts are an art, and you need to seek out an expert who has an excellent knowledge of the anatomy of the muscles involved and the doses required. If the Botox is placed incorrectly, it can actually flatten the brow arch and could even lead to a droopy eyelid, which, in any case, is a complication of the treatment.
Dr Peyman performs about 10 Botox Brow Lifts per week.
This is sometimes done using a unique layering method over two appointments to fully finetune and ensure optimum results with no unwanted effects.

The treatment will involve a doctor making a series of small injections into the muscles of your face.
The procedure is largely pain-free, with only mild discomfort in some areas. You may notice some soreness in the injection site directly after the treatment, but this should subside quickly.
Botulinum toxin has been in medical use for more than four decades, and it is administered in such a way that it only affects your muscles and sweat glands – it does not reach any other part of the body. As long as it is administered by a qualified medical professional, the risks are extremely minimal.
You can carry on with your day as normal, although we advise that you avoid strenuous activity/saunas/other facial treatments for up to 24 hours.
After 4-10 days, you will notice an improvement in your lines/wrinkles, and this result will last approximately 3-4 months.*

The results usually last for around four months, after which you may wish to return for another treatment.*
Not at all; there are various options. It may be that dermal fillers or facial peels are possible alternatives for you. Before you undergo any treatment, you will be invited for a FREE consultation session with Dr Peyman, who will help you determine which treatment is suitable for you.
Most side effects are short-lived and mild, the most common being mild bruising to the site of the injection. Some patients also report mild headaches shortly after the treatment, but these usually subside within 24 hours.
